Debut Album - Hopeless Romantic

BIG NEWS: I've released an album!

2025 was the year that I decided to commit to pursuing an artist career, having written songs for a few years but never played them live or promoted them.

Hopeless Romantic is a collection of 14 songs made in my shed, documenting my failures and follies in love. With influences including Dan Reeder, Eloise and Joshua Lee Turner, the album combines direct and considered lyricism with warm, organic arrangements, giving a listening experience which feels very human and honest.

Featuring collaborations with THURLBY, Elle Beale and saxophone from David Longcake, this project was an opportunity to make music with some of my incredibly talented friends, and to share my work in a way that I hadn't before.

Live Performance (and my Open Mic)

I perform around London and East Anglia, with acoustic sets combining crowd pleasing covers with original tunes. I really enjoy playing in pubs and, with a roster of Celtic folk, country and classic pop numbers, I think my style really suits a lively pub setting.

In addition to my own gigs, I host a monthly open mic night at The Pear Tree Fulham in West London. Having started in 2024, the open mic has earned a reputation as a warm, welcoming space for regular performers and newcomers alike, and is a great way to develop grassroots acoustic music in the city.

Everything you hear on the album was written, played, recorded, mixed and mastered by me, so I was able to really craft the way each song flows and feels. This gave me an opportunity to really lean into things like my love for backing vocals, improvisation and random, stupid rules - for example, in Stuck, there's no kick drum because I decided that would be a worthwhile challenge to set myself as a producer.

Stylistically, this also gave me the freedom to draw from everything that influences me, from country (see Natural Believer) to jazz (see Fell For You) to folk (see Hopeless Romantic).

Hopeless Romantic is available to buy or stream in all the usual places. For best results, I recommend listening on a long drive on a grey day.
